Foolproof Salad Dressing
50/50 Ola Rapeseed Oil and good Balsamic Vinegar with a crushed clove of garlic and a couple of twists of black pepper.
The best way to make a great dressing is to put it all in a jar and give it a really good shake.
French Dressing
3 tablespoons lemon juice
Salt and pepper
¼ teaspoons sugar
¼ teaspoon mustard powder
8 tablespoons Ola Rapeseed Oil
Method
Beat the lemon juice with the salt, pepper, sugar and mustard powder.
Gradually add the oil, beating continuously.
French dressing goes well with all kinds of lettuce.
Ola Rapeseed Oil for Dipping
Serve a bowl of Ola Rapeseed Oil and add a dash of balsamic vinegar, Serve with chunks of fresh warm bread – and get dipping!
Mozzarella Salad
4-5 medium tomatoes
12 oz mozzarella cheese
4 tablespoons chopped basil
4 tablespoons Ola Rapeseed Oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Salt and pepper
Method
Slice tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.
In a small bowl mix together chopped basil, Ola Rapeseed Oil and seasoning.
On small plates place slices of tomato and cheese in alternate layers spooning dressing between each layer.
Drizzle remaining dressing on top. |
