Ola Rapeseed Teriyaki Chicken
Ingredients
2 tablespoons Ola Rapeseed Oil
4 large chicken breast portions
1 large dessert pear, peeled cored and grated
To make Teriyaki sauce:
4 tablespoons soy sauce
4 tablespoons rice wine or sherry
2 tablespoons cold water
1 tablespoon caster sugar
Method for sauce
Put all the sauce ingredients in a small saucepan and heat gently, stirring until sugar has dissolved.
Method for chicken
Heat the oil in a rigid griddle pan.
Flatten chicken slightly before adding to pan.
Brown chicken on both sides for 5 minutes.
Pour over sauce and when bubbling add grated pear.
Cook for 20 minutes, turning chicken to baste.
Serve chicken with boiled or fried rice with sauce poured over. |
